Courses should be taken in sequence. The program coordinator must approve any change.
Progression: To meet graduation requirements for this program, students must successfully complete the specified courses with a "C" average (grade point average of 2.00) or better. A grade of "C" or higher is required in each IST and MAT course to progress in the program. Candidates for graduation must successfully complete an approved professional certification in order to graduate.
Minimum admission requirements (in addition to general requirements):
Attain a 17 composite score on the ACT;
Score a 69.5 or higher on the ACCUPLACER Reading Section and a 62.5 or above on the Algebra Section;
Earn a "B" or above in Preparation for Composition (ENG 1203) and a "B" or above in Introductory Algebra (MAT 1203);
Complete 15 semester hours with a "C" average or above at an accredited college or university. Developmental coursework does not satisfy this requirement.
Students in the Computer Programming Technology Program must attend MCC full time (12 or more semester credit hours).
