Fiber Optics/Copper Cabling

Fiber Optics is 30-hour class that provides students with a theoretical and hands-on knowledge of Fiber Optics.

Students will also learn:

  • Basics of Cable Termination
  • Testing and Troubleshooting
  • Terminate Fiber Optic Cables and ST/SC Connectors
  • Perform a Mechanical Splice
  • Calculate a System Loss Budget

Copper Cabling is a 40-hour class that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become certified entry-level technicians. 

Students will also learn:

  • Proper Tool and Construction Techniques
  • Application of both Construction and Residential Industry Standards
  • Introduction to Networking both Wired and Wireless
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
