Introduction to Electricity is a partnership between Meridian Community College and Meridian Public Schools.  This is a 56 hour (16 week) class that will cover the basic core requirements including basic safety, introduction to construction math, introduction to hand tools, power tools, and blueprints. In addition it will include basic commercial, industrial and residential wiring.  

It will also cover:

  • Basic Rigging
  • Electrical Safety
  • Hand Bending
  • Fasteners and Anchors
  • Electrical Theory (1 and 2)
  • Test Equipment
  • National Electrical Codes
  • Raceways
  • Boxes, Fittings and Conductors
