This position is for a Turf Technician with a landscape contractor location in Kewanee, MS (15 miles east of Meridian).  Duties and Responsibilities Include:   Oversee the safety rules and regulations according to company standards; Responsible for the proper usage of all equipment involved with tur treatment (sprayers, spreaders, etc.); Must provide outstanding customer service, well organized, trust worthy, sharp minded, courteous and able to get along well with others; Be able to drive up to one ton trucks (including trucks with manual transmissions); trucks may involve pulling trailers; Will be exposed to chemicals and fertilizers; Training will be provided in all areas.  Requirements and Qualifications: Good attitude; valid driver’s license; access to reliable transportation; ability to pass pre-employment test and background check.  Non-tobacco company (no smoking or chewing allowed in vehicles or on jobs sites).  Pay scale for the Turf Technician position is $10 to $15 per hour depending on experience and demonstration that you are capable of meeting company standards and requirements.  This is a part time position and hours may vary.  Other tasks may be involved such as installing seasonal container plants/flowers, fertilization of shrub beds, and pruning of shrubs and trees when needed.
