The duties include monitoring all three of our stations as well as routine operation of Harris automation system, recording and preparation of satellite programming for later broadcast, keeping program logs and performing studio duties related to the production of local programming. If you are interested in working with Meridian Main Street (MMS) to create economic opportunities as well as life enhancing events, and you are at least a Junior in college then this paid, full time, internship may be for you! New Grads are eligible as well.   MMS searches for new business tenants downtown, assists prospective businesses with municipal procedures, and consults on best practices.   All MMS services are targeted at keeping our business district strong and fully occupied.  Meridian Main Street, along with our incredible team of volunteers, has produced and staffed over 30 events drawing people into downtown-- keeping dollars local.  Events included:  the all new Entrepreneurs series, Earth’s Bounty, Merry Meridian, Mardi Gras, After Five Alive Concerts, Candy Crawl, Art Crawls, Downtown clean ups the Possibilities Tour of Vacant Spaces.  As an intern, you will be right in the middle of it all!  Intern Qualifications:  Marketing or economic development students are preferred;  Must have at least a junior standing;  Must be able to work 40 hours/week.
