Workforce Development Customized Training is designed to meet the specific needs of business and industry. Services and resources available include:
•Task analysis to determine training content
•Comprehensive training program design
•Training materials
•Training instructors
•Training facilities
•Training equipment.
Financial assistance is available from the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges, and businesses are often eligible for a 50 percent tax credit offered by the State. Examples of customized training in the past have included dimensional measurement, welding, machine shop operations, drafting and blueprint reading, front-line leadership, project management, pre-hire training, pre-employment assessments, and basic skills training.
