As the Director of Residence Life and Housing at Meridian Community College, welcome to your MCC home.

Nothing compares to experiencing life at MCC like living on campus. MCC’s on-campus housing is located just a short walk away from classrooms, laboratories, Todd library, the dining hall, mailroom, Bookstore and sports facilities. MCC provides several on-campus housing options, all of which encourage discovery and emphasize community.

Our campus community can reach over 450 students, many opportunities for interaction that contribute to their academic success and personal growth await. Students who live on campus perform better academically, have more contact with faculty, and are happier with their college experience.

Completing the Housing Questionnaire

  • Once a student has completed their enrollment process they may begin the housing application, which include the Housing Deposit to be completed by June 1.

The Housing Questionnaire asks general questions regarding living preferences such as cleanliness, noise level, sleeping and study habits, and your typical hours of activity as well as music, academic, leisure, and athletic preferences in order to match students on these characteristics.

We strongly encourage every student to take the time to thoughtfully complete this form themselves. Additionally, it would also be helpful to provide any allergy concerns Residence Life should be aware of. This and any other information can be provided in the comments box at the bottom of the form.

The Office of Residence Life & Housing will use the information on this form to assign you to a compatible roommate(s). If you have made arrangements to room with someone specific, please indicate that in the comment box of the housing section. Such requests will be honored whenever possible. We encourage you to also discuss this with them so they can do the same.

Room Assignments

Housing is at a premium. Nationwide there is an influx of new students at the college level. At MCC we are striving to have a bed for everyone and all freshmen will be housed in our residence halls. Our residence halls, Eagle, Thornton, and College Crossings, offer rooms that include (ADA accommodation), double occupancy in Eagle and Thornton, quad occupancy in College Crossings.

Room assignments are made by the Office of Residence Life and Housing. Room assignments will be finalized during the third week of July for the Fall Semester. Room assignments and housing information will be sent to the student via the USPS address provided on their Housing Questionnaire.

Housing assignments are made according to the date your application deposit and Housing Questionnaire were received by the Office of Residence Life.

I hope that you find this information helpful. Throughout the summer our office will provide additional information and updates as they relate to living on campus, housing assignments and roommates in preparation for arrival. I look forward to receiving your thoroughly completed Housing Questionnaires and the opportunity to place you with the best roommate(s) possible.

Please do not forget the importance of meeting the June 1 deadline. I and the Residence Life & Housing team look forward to seeing you in August and assisting you to make your transition from home to school as smooth as possible throughout the next three to four months and during the academic year.

Should you have any questions before you arrive, please call Residence Life at (601) 484-8894/8627 or email cbennett@meridiancc.edu.
