GRADING AND CREDIT


Advancement in the course will be by means of accomplishing the objectives of each unit. All students are expected to accept responsibility to maintain a uniform pace in order to complete the course in one semester. The following grading scale will be used.

79 - 70

69 - 60

BELOW 60 (unsatisfactory, incomplete and late assignments; minimum requirements not met)

chapter grades = 70 %

Plato assignments = 10 %

final exam = 20 %

No schedule changes (drops or adds) will be permitted after the 14th week of the semester. A student who withdraws from all courses prior to the 14th week of the semester will receive the grade of "W" in each course. A student who withdraws from all courses (withdraws from school) after the 14th week of the semester will receive either the grade of W or the grade of "F" if that is the grade s/he has earned up to that point. However, in order to receive an A, B, C, or D, the student must remain in attendance through the final exam.


POLICY FOR MAJOR TEST GRADES FOR ON CAMPUS CLASSES

If your FINAL EXAM SCORE is higher than the lowest score on any major test, the FINAL EXAM SCORE will automatically replace the lowest major test score.

It is important that you attend class every day we meet. Your knowledge is helpful to the rest of the class and you can share your knowledge and expertise with your classmates only if you are attending class.
