Welcome to the Department of Fine Arts |

|
The Department of Fine Arts, which
is housed in the Ivy Building, is designed to provide students with a broad
exposure to the visual and performing arts and to develop the basic
technical skills necessary to pursue further training for a professional
career in the arts. The Department consists of a highly skilled
faculty with stellar exhibition and performance records who are committed to
providing students with the best instruction. The small class size
permits more individualized instruction and creates a keen sense of
belonging. We invite you to check out our web-site and contact any
faculty member for more information. We extend to you an open
invitation to visit us anytime! |

Philosophy
Artists create much of the world in which we live.
They not only enhance and beautify, they inform, enlighten, and entertain.
Art challenges us to see things from new and unique perspectives and to
think and feel things we have not imagined. Artists help us define our
views of the world, our values, and our social beliefs. |
Mission
The Fine
Arts Department offers high quality courses that
produce highly competent music educators,
performers, as well as an appreciation of music
and art of all cultures. The Fine Arts
Department supports the college's mission of
public service and lifelong learning.
