Meridian Community College is a proud member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes as a member of the MACJC. MCC is also a part of the Region 23 that is made up of other competing junior colleges in the state of Mississippi and several schools in the state of Louisiana. MCC has traditionally competed at a very high level at the state level and the national level as well.
MCC has captured five National Championships in program history and most notably a men’s soccer National Championship in 2000. MCC still remains the only junior college in the state of Mississippi to capture a National Championship in the sport of soccer. MCC has also competed on the national level most recently in track and field, tennis, and women’s basketball by taking part in national tournaments across the country. MCC competes in seven different intercollegiate sports that include: baseball, fast-pitch softball, track and field, cross country, basketball, golf, and tennis.
